Toronto-based artist boy wonder has just dropped a video for his new single “Knockin’.”
The gritty, twangy tune is quick-witted, with bouncy guitar riffs, a catchy beat, and crooning vocals that rival the likes of Kurt Vile. “Knockin'” comes accompanied by a quirky vintage video with glitchy, chopped up clips of balloons, skateboarding, people performing, and more!
“My friend told me that ‘this video is like seeing what’s inside your brain.’ Maybe he’s right, but this video is seeing what’s inside my brain when you have no money for a video,” boy wonder explains to Indie88. “I kind of feel this weird guilt though, because everything that was shot in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s on film was so beautiful and was probably extremely tedious to shoot. I doubt that in 1953 they thought their anti-marijuana PSA would be chopped up and spit into a music video. Or maybe they knew all along.”
