Carpet of Horses and STILL have shared a lyric video for their new collaboration, “Means to Be.”
The collaboration came about as a result of the pandemic, as Carpet of Horses and STILL would send “Means to Be” back-and-forth, building up the track and adding each artist’s distinctive finesse to it. “The lyrics were inspired by some late night walks I got into the habit of taking at the peak of the lockdown when the city was unrecognizably empty and strange,” Carpet of Horses’ Tobin J Stewart explains.
“‘Means to Be’ feels like a pretty good representation of what this pandemic feels like to me,” STILL’s Dustin Seabrook explains. “A little bit of sadness, a little bit of newness, isolation, and the unknown.”
