Indie88 Premiere: Cat and the Queen share video for Odale Cooper remix of ‘Major Sea’

She's gearing up for the release of her new album 'I Caught a Fish'

Toronto electro-dance outfit Cat and the Queen are back with a music video for the new Odale Cooper remix of “Major Sea,” premiering now on Indie88.

The remix sees Cooper turning the sweeping, cinematic Cat and the Queen ballad into a danceable, energetic track. The accompanying video is powerful in its mirrored shots of flowers, plants, and a family dancing in stunning landscapes.

“Another diamond in the rough from Cat and the Queen,” Cooper explains. “I love how some of her older songs have taken on new meaning during these times of massive social upheaval and hardship. I connected immediately to the line ‘I got what I forgot I got’ which to me spoke to revisiting the idealism of my youth and need for personal reflection and learning.”
