Indie88 Premiere: Cat and the Queen shares video for new track ‘Blade of Grass (Odale Cooper Remix)’

A new clip from the Toronto artist

Toronto’s Cat and the Queen has shared a video for their new collaboration with local producer Odale Cooper, who remixed her track, “Blades of Grass”

The song comes accompanied by a powerful visual from Chris Sherry, who was the Director of Photography on Schitt’s Creek. The clip comes packed with footage of his own children making their way around a deserted Toronto.

“This song states its goals right away: STOP, PAUSE, BREATHE,” Cooper explains of the clip. “If I could add one more statement to that list it would be DANCE. I feel like this message reflects the answer to many moods I have every day. It is easy to feel depressed, sad, anxious and nervous these days. I am usually brought out of my gloom by something or someone that is wonderful, amazing and inspiring. So I set forth trying to make a song that would give me reprieve from my darker thoughts.”
