Prince Edward Island power pop band Golden Cinema have revealed “Peachy Keen,” the title track from their forthcoming EP.
“The single has a different mood than what we’ve done before, featuring abstract lyrics that will allow you, the listener, to develop your own personal meaning,” Golden Cinema explains in a statement. “‘Peachy Keen’ has moodier grooves than heard on our first EP, complemented by guitar chimes and synths. We recorded in a new way this time around, with our band members split between Prince Edward Island and Toronto.”
The silky new tune comes packed with silky electric guitar lines, a driven drum beat, and smooth vocals. The band’s quirky lyricism takes the lead on this track, with lines like “How’s your family tree/ I hear they’re peachy keen/ Floating in the in between/ I’m slipping out of tune.”
