Experimental pop duo Hush Pup have just released an intimate new video for their track “The Hours.” Most of the band’s tunes sound like driving at night through Candy Land, and “The Hours” is a groove-driven dream pop tune with smooth, silky vocals that would soundtrack a romantic movie perfectly.
“The hours is a song about kindness,” Hush Pup explains to Indie88. “It’s about being sweet and slow as a practice. Inspired by a scene from an Allen Ginsberg documentary where he conducts a workshop integrating spirituality into artistic practice.” The track is accompanied by an intimate video featuring romantic images like flowers in either black and white or desaturated colour.
