British Columbia-based singer-songwriter Jesse Roper will release his third full-length record, Access To Infinity, in early 2018 via Blue Heron Music/Warner Music Canada. Roper is touting “an evolved sound,” while remaining true to his soul, rock, and blues influences.
Today, Indie88 is pleased to premiere Roper’s new video for “Cherry” from his forthcoming record.
“‘Cherry’ was a tough video to come up with a concept for,” Roper told Indie88. “The lyrics and feel of the song are are fairly intense and I wanted to stay away from creating something that left a viewer feeling tired or depressed. My videographer friend Shiraz suggested we try something that portrayed myself as a fellow following a monotonous lifestyle and breaking free of it in the end. Add in a large portion of trippy visual effects and a fire dance and we’d have kind of a mini movie with my song as the sound track!”
