Indie88 Premiere: Jo Ryder share glitchy, colourful new video for ‘Imprint’

Toronto’s Jo Ryder, made up of Lauralee Sheehan and Odale Cooper, have shared a video for their new track, “Imprint,” premiering now on Indie88.

“Imprint” is a catchy new tune with almost eerie, glitchy instrumentals and silky vocal lines that are sure to get you dancing. The new clip was filmed during lockdown at The Drake Hotel, and comes packed with colourful, equally glitchy shots of the band haunting the empty hotel.

“Filmed at The Drake Hotel during COVID19 lockdown, ‘Imprint’ follows a ghost who wanders the halls, performs in The Underground venue and reminisces about the past,” Jo Ryder explain. “A song about yearning and nostalgia, ‘Imprint’ incorporates a beautiful, empty Drake Hotel in expressing feelings of loss, faded memories, the idea of place and how we connect these things together.”

Jo Ryder are set to release another new track called “Bliss and Nothing Less” in May.
