Indie88 Premiere: Krief drops new video for bluesy, poetic track ‘Tonight’

Former Dears member Patrick Krief is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming album Dovetale under the moniker Krief, and today he’s shared a video for his bluesy, poetic single “Tonight.”

The lively, dynamic track builds beautifully with layered, bouncy, guitar-driven instrumentals as Krief’s vocal lines weave in and out of dreamy falsettos. The track revolves around a gritty guitar line that eventually morphs into an elaborate, twangy solo.

The cinematic new video is cut perfectly in an almost dream-like sequence, with jumpy clips of the artist standing in the streets of Las Vegas as he busks with an acoustic guitar, which eventually leads Krief on a quirky pseudo-scavenger hunt. “Shooting a music video in downtown Las Vegas is exactly what you might imagine it to be,” Krief explained to Indie88.

Watch the video for “Tonight” below.

Dovetale is set for release on June 7th, 2019.
