While gearing up for the release of his debut album Ruche de Mouches, which is set for release tomorrow, Larynx has shared a video for his new single “Lubie.”
“Lubie” is a slow-moving psychedelic track, with warping instrumental lines and silky crooning vocals. The absurd new video feels like it’s been inspired by the work of David Lynch or Michel Gondry, with quirky, colourful clips of stunningly sparse settings.
“‘Lubie’ is a visual collection of my best and my worst memories,” Larynx explains. “It shows how deeply troubled I am, but in high quality (full HD). Hugo Ferland-Dionne singled out each lyric that I wrote on the track and transposed them all into a series of meaningful, psychedelic scenes. It’s a dark and delirious love story, a fart of the mind, and a little bit like me and my album: further than the imagination of Jesus.”
