Indie88 Premiere: Lenny Bull sings of the ups and downs of relationships on new track ‘Elevator’

Toronto’s Lenny Bull has shared a new single, “Elevator,” premiering now on Indie88.

The blistering new tune is a rock anthem. It was inspired by a walk Bull was on with a friend that was going through a breakup. The pair were talking about the relationship before her friend said how “fucking tired” she was from talking about her ex. And thus, “Elevator” was born. The direct tune is about being stuck in a bad situation, and not wanting to waste any more time on that.

“Elevators, like relationships, go up and down, take you towards a destination, make you wait, feel claustrophobic,” Lenny Bull explains. “Relationships can be a drag, and my blistering new single ‘Elevator’ tackles that feeling of being stuck in a bad situation without getting down about it! I want you to listen and feel energized instead of drained; motivated instead of weary.”

“I’m inspired by interactions, conflict, first impressions, lust, and attraction,” Lenny Bull adds. “‘Elevator’ is about not wanting to waste any more time being consumed by a specific person.”

Lenny Bull is all about a powerhouse, pop-rock, guitar-centric sound. Her music strikes the perfect balance between infectious anthems and hard-edged, gritty rock tunes. Bull is readying the release of her new album, Strange Vacation. That record follows the release of her 2019 EP, Sharp Teeth.
