While gearing up for the release of her debut album Save Our Hearts, which is set for release on November 13th, Madisyn Whajne has shared a video for her new single “Sweet Talk,” premiering now on Indie88.
Whajne’s new track revolves around a catchy guitar riff and driven drum line, as her silky, bubbly vocals take the lead. The accompanying clip sees Whajne singing along to the track on the floor of a living room beside a record player, interspersed with shots of her performing beneath red lights.
“‘Sweet Talk’ was the first song I wrote for this record,” Whajne explains. “It started as a sad love song, but after bringing it to the band it took on a new meaning. Not one where I sat with my sadness and longing, but instead where I took some power back; to remind myself that I can still stand tall in the face of adversity and loss. Whether we are left heart broken or not… all of our hearts keep beating.”
