Indie88 Premiere: Newfoundland artist Adrian House is ready to persevere on new single ‘Changes’

Newfoundland’s Adrian House has shared a new single called “Changes,” premiering now on Indie88.

The track comes from his upcoming third album. On “Changes,” Adrian House blends an indie-folk sound with British invasion sensibilities, making for a catchy, optimistic anthem. Lyrically, the track is all about persevering through difficult times. In the face of adversity, House is ready to accept the challenges of life. The fun-loving melodies of the track highlight its positive message even further.

The song is “a celebration of life,” Adrian House explains. “The song is about making that positive choice, having the guts to choose to be happy and embrace life.”

Listen to “Changes” below.

On “Changes,” House teamed up with Mara Pellerin and Josh Ward of Hey Rosetta! They recorded the track in analog at Studio J in St. John’s. In fact, Ward is the one who created the funky, Fleetwood Mac-esque bassline.

“When you’re in touch with yourself on the inside, it doesn’t matter what happens around you, how much things change (which they inevitably will): you’ll get through it,” Adrian House adds. “You’ve got the strength inside to get through it.”

While the track was originally released in 2019 on his album, Lookin’ Up, today’s release is a remastered version. On this rendition of “Changes,” Adrian House really hones in on his optimism, with bright melodies and shimmering vocals.
