Electronic indie-pop outfit Old Man Canyon have just released a new video shot on 16mm film for their dreamy track “Run Away.”
The video, which was filmed on the Vancouver movie set from Deadpool and The Watchmen, follows frontman Jett Pace as he cruises through a fake New York City, highlighting the artificial boundaries of its environment. The purpose of the clip was to play into the theme of their new album, A Grand Facade, which is that nothing is what it seems from the outside.
Check out the video for “Run Away” below.
“Playing with the themes on the song and album everything seen in the video, from the streets to the movie theatre, is a facade,” Pace explained to Indie88. “Sometimes we need to take a peek behind the walls to see what’s really going on.”
