Montreal trio Penny Diving have released two new tracks called “Shotgun, She Said” and “I Surrender.”
Both of the tracks are about learning to be more present by letting go of the future and surrendering to the past. With silky, processed instrumental and wailing vocal lines, these dreamy tunes are sure to get stuck in your head.
“Shotgun, she said” is based on David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive, and it tells “the typical storyline of a young wannabe actress trying to make it big in Hollywood, and how it all goes horribly wrong,” Penny Diving tells Indie88. “I Surrender,” on the otherhand is a slower, grittier track that is “about taking a solitary stroll through the woods to reminisce about the past, and how the stillness of nature brings the darkness to light.”

The two tracks come off of the band’s forthcoming album Big Inhale, which is set for release on February 7th, 2020.
