Pyramid Tropic have shared a dreamy new single called “How Long Is Now.”
The new dance-pop tune lyrically explores trying to make a moment last longer than it’s supposed to, and it comes backed by echoing, anthemic synths and catchy percussion. “How Long Is Now” features silky vocal lines that make for a nostalgic feel, fitting the lyrics perfectly.
“‘How Long Is Now’ is a song about trying to make a moment or a night last longer than it was initially intended,” the band explains. “It’s attempting to hold onto something that’s so good, you don’t want it to end and as a result, you want to prevent other things from occurring even though they are both inevitable & beautiful in their own right i.e. stopping the sun from rising, keeping the moon forever in night’s place, etc. There’s melancholy already in knowing that ‘this too shall pass’ even though you’re fully aware that other moments like this are sure to come along.”
