Indie88 Premiere: The O’Pears unveil new video for ‘Lady Winter’

A dark, cold video for the stark and eerie track

Toronto folk trio The O’Pears have just released a new video for “Lady Winter” off of their latest album, Stay Warm.

“Lady Winter” is a stark and eerie track that revolves around a pulsing beat and melody, as Lydia Persaud, Jill Harris, and Meg Contini’s harmonies weave together and haunt each other perfectly. The Vincent Rene-Lortie and Brittney Canda directed clip fits the track like a puzzle piece, with dark, cold shots of a woman erratically dancing as her significant other tries to leave.

“The spirit of a mountain haunts her lover as he makes preparations to move from his home at its base,” the band explains to Indie88. “This chilling video fills every nook of the haunting piece of music it was built around.”

The O’Pears’ latest album, Stay Warm, is now available everywhere.
