Indie88 Premiere: Tokyo Police Club’s Greg Alsop, artist Mike Scala share ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ as Delta Underground

A new collaborative project from the PEI-based artists

Tokyo Police Club member Greg Alsop and artist Mike Scala have begun a new project called Delta Underground, and today they’ve shared their debut single “Where The Wild Things Are” through Indie88.

The new song, which was released on the band’s very own Woodland Poodle Records/ONErpm, will see the band donating all record sale proceeds to the WHO COVID-19 Response Fund. The new track features catchy, beat-driven instrumentals with dreamy synths and silky, dynamic vocal lines.

“To me this song is about trying to find a bit of adventure and excitement, even if everyday life can feel pretty far from all that,” Alsop explains. “It’s based around a recurring dream Mike had as a kid and just seemed like a cool and different world to explore in a dance song. We wanted to write about the feeling of escape and freedom that dreaming can give you, especially as a kid.”
