Indie88 Premiere: Toronto punk outfit Stuck Out Here release new video for ‘Bore Me’

The track comes off of their recently released album 'Until We're Each Someone Else'

Toronto punks Stuck Out Here have shared a new Adam Cook-directed video for their raucous track “Bore Me.”

“‘Bore Me’ is about how slowly and insideously resentment can grow overtime in a relationship, and how, once it grows, it can seem impossible to get back to the way it was before,” band member Cam Laurie explains to Indie88. “I also wrote the song in the female voice as a self-critique for every time I’ve been an oblivious idiot dude, who was too out of touch with his emotions to realize there was a problem.”

The powerful new black-and-white clip sees Laurie dancing with a woman and drinking wine beneath string lights, as they sing along to the track, and eventually get into a fight. As the video progresses, the couple gets more and more frustrated with each other, until they pour wine on each other and dance in silence, as Laurie delivers lines like, “‘Cause I don’t like you anymore/ You bore me.”
