Indie88 Premiere: Victoria’s Carmanah Share New Video for ‘Nightmare’

In Toronto with Hey Ocean! on October 17

Victoria, B.C.-based outfit Carmanah are set to hit the road with Hey Ocean! for Phase II of touring behind their outstanding debut record Speak In Rhythms. Today, Indie88 is pleased to premiere Carmanah’s new video for “Nightmare.”

“‘Nightmare’ is yearning for the arms of a loved one when you don’t feel safe,” the band told Indie88 via email. “It describes how the ease of ignorance enables us to continue overusing and abusing what little we have left on this planet. We are faced with two options: Keep your eyes closed and live in blissful destruction or open your eyes and acknowledge the mess. Only one of these choices has a future.”

You can catch Carmanah live with Hey Ocean! in Toronto on October 17 at The Great Hall.

“We can’t wait to restring our guitars, warm up our vocals and hit the road with Hey Ocean! this fall,” the band said. “We have been dreaming of touring with a band that we respect and admire for some time and the pairing of Carmanah and Hey Ocean! seems just right. It will be a real treat to return to some of our favourite Canadian spots again and also to share our music in a few new communities along the way.”
