Indie88 Premiere: World News release trippy new video for ‘A Bit More Mellow Back Then’

Toronto psychedelic synth duo World News have just released a trippy new video for “A Bit More Mellow Back Then.”

The warm, yet natural electronic song is “an attempt to convey the feeling of the great outdoors and the inner freedom, simplicity and warmth that those moments can bring,” band member Will Bembridge tells Indie88. The track comes accompanied with a video, composed of both found and filmed footage, reworked and edited into a vibrant, colourful, and psychedelic series of clips.

“The debut music video for World News revolves around themes of nature, science and evolution,” Bembridge explains to Indie88. “Created by The Oscillitarium, a group of Toronto creatives who also film live video sessions for bands and provide visuals for shows across the city, have used a combination of found footage, filmed sessions with the band and analogue video techniques to create a vibrant visual accompaniment to the single.”

Catch World News at Lees Palace on February 8th.
