Winnipeg rock group SC Mira has shared a video along with their new single “Give It Up.”
“Give It Up” is a crisp, brooding new single that mixes elements of electronic, rock and pop: a genre the band describes as “death pop.” Self-produced by the band and mixed by Ferro Montanino (who has previously collaborated with Skrillex) “‘Give It Up’ is about someone who doesn’t take a conventional path in life, and the judgments thrown their way,” says frontwoman Sadye Cage. “It’s the sound of fighting back.”
Animator/director Matea Radic told Indie88 via email: “For me, this video was about not knowing how to let go of the demons that haunt us and the feeling of being trapped within ourselves.”
SC Mira are readying the release of Drug Warm Coma due out this coming April 20th (on AntiFragile Music and Sugar Gator Records) – part 2 of an EP series that included Part 1’s Keep Crawling released in September 2017. These collections of music follow their highly acclaimed record Waiting Room Baby released in 2015.” Watch their animated new video for “Give It Up” below:
