How was your weekend? I had a riveting time eating my own body weight in popcorn, FaceTiming, and making DIY masks. Pro tip: if there’s egg in a hair mask wash it out with cold water, or else you’ll have scrambled hair. No matter what the state of your hair, thank you for staying home for the greater good! Let’s get to today’s list, and yes, it is Easter themed (-ish) because WHY NOT? I have the time.
As per usual, I’m on air 1-5pm today, tune in and say hello., you can text or call 416-588-0881, or say hi on social @indie88toronto @lanagay

According to the Guardian, “Legend has it that the 1979 Atari 2600 game, Adventure, was the first to include a hidden in-joke buried away in an obscure corner of the code. If players directed a grey dot into a hidden room they got to see the message “Created by Warren Robinett”, a self-referential protest by the game’s programmer who was annoyed at Atari for not crediting its staff.” Whether your gaming time has increased or not, take a dive into some of the greatest sly jokes, pop culture references and clever easter eggs in video games.
What’s the buzz? I’ll tell you what’s a happenin’ – Jesus Christ Superstar. Look, I’m not very religious nor a Broadway aficionado but I do feel now is the time to watch/listen to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 70’s classic. The tunes are glorious and never has a biblical musical had so much fringe and choreography. Check out the movie on Prime OR stream the album in all its glory.
Not to be dramatic, but hey it’s a pandemic and you might be on the edge of tears at all times (Just me? Okay.) Want to let it all out? Opera legend Andrea Bocelli sang inside an empty cathedral in Milan on Easter Sunday and it is both beautiful and eerie.
I have to be honest I’m more partial to Mini Eggs and I feel the fact that you can’t buy them year round is a crock, but if you’re more of a creme egg person, good news: you can make them at home! Best of luck, this looks messy. Check out the recipe here.
History of the Easter Bunny
I love rabbits and I love the idea of them hopping along shooting out chocolate eggs, but let’s be honest – this whole concept is bonkers. So what’s the deal? I’m sticking with Pagans.
Here’s a few explanations.
That’s it for today, thanks for reading. I hope you’re feeling well over there.
