TGIALWBSF! Yes, thank god it’s a long weekend Band Shirt Friday! (Can you tell I’m losin’ it a bit?) How are you doing over there? This hasn’t been my favourite week, really riding those anxiety waves, and excited for a little break.
Good news, Friday is here, and I hope you figure out something fun to do this weekend, I hope you’re feeling well! Here’s your daily list of suggestions of things to check out, and thanks for reading.
Watch Bill Murray and Guy Fieri in a nacho showdown!
We all know covid has been a nightmare horror show on a variety of levels, but then there are some positives to have come from it, case in point: Bill Murray and Guy Fieri will compete to see who can make the best nachos. Yes, tonight at 5pm ET the two very different legends will stack corn chips, cheese and other fixings in an attempt to take you to digital flavourtown all while raising money for restaurant workers impacted by Covid-19.
OH, and Shaquille O’Neal is one of the judges! WHAT! This just keeps getting better.

You know, we’ve all had our moments during lockdown, and sometimes it’s good to know that even Snoop Dogg is losing his marbles and needed a little time to let it go.
Kids Corner: make puppets with Jim Henson (RIP)
Wholesome content alert! Years before Sesame Street, legendary Jim Henson was on Iowa public TV helping you learn how to make puppets at home. It is a bit weird to hear the voice of Kermit… not be Kermit. Though some of these puppets from the ‘60s are a bit creepy, that’s half the fun!
Check out: vintage style cryptozoological posters
Surely you’ve seen a Deyrolle style chart before, but maybe just didn’t know what it was called exactly. In the 1800’s in France, second generation naturalist Emile Deyrolle started creating and dealing educational charts and models of the human body, but also related to botany, zoology. Fast forward a couple hundred years and artist Camille Renversade has taken the Deyrolle style to the next level creating these trippy anatomical charts of fictitious creatures.
Who doesn’t want to understand the anatomy of a snake woman? Fly man? Unicorn?
It’s common to pick up merch at a concert or a souvenir shirt from a trip, so why not use that creative indoor energy to make your own shirt to remember pandemic times. Make shirts for your Zoom chat crew? How about “I ❤️ nurses,” “Homeschooling sucks,” “Remember concerts?”
Personally I would like to wear a Dr. Eileen de Villa shirt.
Local business Toronto Tees are filling those online orders and also offer $5 off and free shipping.
