If you’ve ever experienced a splitting red wine-induced headache, you’re not alone. It’s a common problem for many people who like to enjoy a glass of red.
While the most obvious explanation may be “you drank too much wine,” there are several other factors at work that can contribute to a headache even after consuming a small amount. The people at Fix.com have come up with an infographic that highlights several of the factors that could be behind that dreaded cranial pain.
Don’t put the blame on sulfites, though, it’s more likely a combination of histamines, tyramine, prostaglandins, tannins and phenolics…and of course, a hangover.
