Instagram will be soon be rolling out a feature that will make your story posts a little bit more captivating!
The popular photo and video-sharing app unveiled plans for a new feature that will let users add music tracks to their Instagram Stories before or after recording video. The feature will appear as a music ‘sticker’ from the add media menu and play. Users will then be able to search by artists or by mood or even by what’s popular.
Instagram is able to provide a library of artists after striking liscening deals with major music publishers including Warner, Sony and Universal.

The new feature was discovered by Ishan Agarwal and Jane Manchun Wong, who tipped off Tech Crunch about the incoming feature after examining the app’s background code.
According to Tech Crunch, Instagram is also working on automatic music detection that will automatically scan audio from stories to display artist and song information.
It’s unclear how the rollout will take place exactly, with the feature now available in some countries worldwide with the latest app update. As of now, the music feature is only working on iOs, with Android coming in the near future.
