Jack White drags his coffin around in dreary video for new single ‘If I Die Tomorrow’

Jack White is back with a video for his new single, “If I Die Tomorrow.”

The new acoustic track serves as the second single from White’s second album of 2022, Entering Heaven Alive, out July 22nd via Third Man Records. With haunting woodwinds and driven acoustic guitar lines, White sings of his mortality in the melancholic tune.

Directed by Brantley Gutirrez, the accompanying video sees White dragging what seems to be his own wooden coffin through a field to a shallow grave. Drenched in blue-and-white hues, the dreary video is pretty haunting, fitting the track perfectly.

Entering Heaven Alive serves as the follow-up to White’s fourth solo album, Fear of the Dawn which came out earlier this year. Where Fear of the Dawn was a “really hard” rock album, Entering Heaven Alive is a “very mellow” acoustic record.

In addition to “If I Die Tomorrow,” Entering Heaven Alive features the previously released “Love Is Selfish.”
