Jack White Led a Crowd in Singing Polish Birthday Song “Sto Lat” to His Mother

For her 88th birthday

Jack White is out on the European leg of his tour supporting his most recent solo record, Boarding House Reach.

On Tuesday, White played a show in his mother’s homeland, Poland, and she actually attended the show to celebrate her 88th birthday. White brought his mother out on the stage so the crowd could sing her “Sto lat,” the Polish birthday song.

White has a no-phone policy at his shows, so there are no clips of the moment, but the artist shared a picture of him and his mom on stage.

Take a listen to what “Sto lat” sounds like below.

White will be back on a North American tour in November, but the closest show to Toronto will be in London, Ontario on November 8th at Budweiser Gardens.

White also recently revealed that he will be reuniting with The Raconteurs for their first new album since 2008.
