Former Weaves frontperson Jasmyn is back with another new solo single, “Crystal Ball.”
Today’s release follows her recent single, “Find The Light,” which she shared in celebration of signing to Royal Mountain Records and ANTI- Records. “Crystal Ball” is a unique, texturally lush anthem. The accompanying video is full of animations of two statues floating in the water, kissing to the driven tune.
“I was writing about being afraid of moving into the future but also getting excited by it,” Jasmyn explains of “Crystal Ball.” “I knew that I had to change my life and follow my heart in order to evolve and be happy. I think I leaned on nature to do that. Staring at the sun go down, watching birds just float. Nature seems to move without regret or worry. I wanted to write about leaning on my intuition and charging forward into the future with what felt right. I was hit with fresh love and fresh air and a new beginning — it was exciting. I think this song is about the concept of having a personal renaissance. Looking inward and finding that consistency for yourself even if it means letting go sometimes. Happiness is on the other side.”

Much like “Crystal Ball,” Jasmyn’s debut solo single, “Find The Light,” is an alt-pop anthem. The driven banger sees Jasmyn’s unique vocals are at the forefront, backed by repetitive synths and powerful guitars. Alongside the track, Jasmyn stars in a video that was filmed on a drone. Throughout the clip, she dons an array of wigs as she sings along to the tune.
