The sequel to the horror hit A Quiet Place has begun shooting. Krasinski took to Twitter to post a photo of the clapperboard labeled with the first take and scene, signalling the beginning of shooting.
Krasinski will be directing, writing, and co-starring in the sequel, as he also did for the original film. There are speculations that Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy was in the talks of joining the sequel, as well as Child’s Play actor Brian Tyree Henry.
A Quiet Place, which revolved around a post-apocalyptic world where humans are prey to a fast-moving monster who tracks their victims via sound, grossed $188 million at the box office and $340 worldwide. The sequel is set to be released March 20th, 2020.
