John Prine’s family announces online ‘Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine’

The tribute will stream on June 11

John Prine’s family has announced an online tribute special next month that will celebrate the singer-songwriter’s life and legacy.

“Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine,” which is being produced by the Prine Family alongside the artist’s Oh Boy Records, is set to stream on Prine’s Facebook and YouTube channels on June 11th at 7:30 p.m. “Picture Show” takes its name from the Tom Petty collaboration that served as the opener on The Missing Years.

The tribute will feature “musicians, actors and friends remembering our beloved JP,” who passed away in April as a result of complications from COVID-19.

“We look forward to being with you all to remember and celebrate your friend and our beloved husband, dad and grandpa,” Fiona Prine explains. “Please keep yourselves safe and healthy until then. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kind messages – they really help.”
