Country singer Kacey Musgraves is selling clothes she wore during stage performances and donating the proceeds towards tornado relief efforts in Tennessee.
HEADS UP: I’m having a MAJOR closet sale tonight on Instagram on @stagetocloset – TONS of my everyday clothes, shoes + performance looks you’ve seen on stage. Proceeds will benefit Tennessee forest preservation. As Nashville grows the woodlands keep getting smaller & smaller?

A powerful, deadly tornado tore through Nashville and other parts of mid-Tennessee early Tuesday morning, causing at least 25 deaths and severe damages to hundreds of buildings. Initially, Musgraves posted her clothes on the celebrity-clothing seller Stage to Closet on Monday to raise money for Tennessee forest preservation. After hearing the news about the natural disaster on Tuesday, she decided to donate the money to tornado relief instead.
“Heartbroken for East Nashville. I lived on this side of town (in this neighborhood until recently) for years. Many friends are severely affected. Thankful to be ok and thinking of those who aren’t,” Musgraves posted on her Instagram story, and said that while forest preservation is still important, the “tornado relief efforts need help first.”
