Kensington Market’s Oxford Fruit is set to close because of Toronto’s skyrocketing rent.
According to Canadian broadcaster Sook-Yin Lee, the iconic Toronto shop, which was run by Mrs. Ng for a whopping 25 years, will not be able to afford their rent once their lease is up. As a result, they will be forced out of the location in March.

I just found out that Oxford Fruit, a pillar of Kensington Market, run by Mrs. Ng for 25 years— cannot afford skyrocketing rent when their lease is up. They will be forced out by March. It's a sad, maddening day in a city losing its soul to gentrification. What can be done? pic.twitter.com/SnuEgEuWug
