Kensington Market’s Oxford Fruit to close due to skyrocketing rent

They will be forced out of their location in March

Kensington Market’s Oxford Fruit is set to close because of Toronto’s skyrocketing rent.

According to Canadian broadcaster Sook-Yin Lee, the iconic Toronto shop, which was run by Mrs. Ng for a whopping 25 years, will not be able to afford their rent once their lease is up. As a result, they will be forced out of the location in March.
