Toronto surf-punk group Knifey are celebrating the one year anniversary of their single “Sophie” with a new video.
The rock group recently put out their debut LP, the aptly named beached earlier this fall. “Sophie” is a nostalgic summery tune that prompts feelings of mixed emotions commonly associated with being in your early 20s.
Singer Max Trinz told Indie88 via email the inspiration for the video, which was directed by Jacqueline Tucci. “Sophie was a lizard of mine that I shared with the girl who the song is about, so we made a compilation of various reptiles being weird and funny and stupid.” Watch the video below:
