The new trailer for the Spencer biopic is here, and it sees Kristen Stewart transform into Princess Diana.
Stewart will be portraying Diana during a Christmas weekend in the ’90s when she was questioning her choice in marrying Prince Charles. “Diana decided her marriage to Prince Charles wasn’t working and that she needed to veer from a path that put her in line to one day be queen,” Deadline reveals of the script, which is written by Steven Knight. The movie is directed by Pablo Larraín, who is known for his Jackie Kennedy biopic, Jackie.
In the new trailer for Spencer, Stewart’s resemblance to Princess Diana is quite uncanny. Stewart does a spot on portrayal opposite Jack Farthing as her Prince Charles. The cast also features big names like Timothy Spall, Sean Harris, Sally Hawkins, and Richard Sammel.

“Ma’am? They’re waiting for you,” someone says after knocking on the door to the bathroom, where Stewart is looking dramatically in the mirror.
The forthcoming film’s score was produced by none other than Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood.
“We all grew up reading and understanding what a fairy tale is. Usually, the prince comes and finds the princess, invites her to become his wife and eventually she becomes queen,” Larraín explains of Spencer. “When someone decides not to be the queen, and says, I’d rather go and be myself, it’s a big big decision, a fairy tale upside down.”
Spencer is set for release this November
