Lana Gay hosts Afternoon Drive on Indie88. Tune in 2-6 p.m., she’ll soundtrack your afternoon, complete with artist interviews and her signature selections from our music library heard on Deep Dives & B-Sides at 3:15pm. Want to know the top songs on the station? She’s got that for you too, weekends on The List. You can also hear her premiering new tunes on every show with Your First Listen.
Lana is fixated on music new and old, and the stories behind the songs. She’s interviewed everyone from Dave Grohl to Daniel Caesar to Dolly freakin’ Parton! As an advocate for children’s literacy, she ran A Good Book Drive Toronto for three years, helping raise books and funds for the Children’s Book Bank.
You may have also heard or seen her on the Polaris Prize podcast, Cineplex’s Hello Movies podcast, CBC, Prism Prize, JunoTV, Monocle and elsewhere.
Proud to hail from Leamington, she was raised on Motown music and Hungarian food (an underrated combo, really.) Once, she tried to chase a rainbow and ended up in Blenheim, Ontario.
