After releasing Chemtrails Over the Country Club last month and announcing the June 1st release of its follow-up album, Rock Candy Sweet, Lana Del Rey has announced her third record of the year, Blue Banisters.
Del Rey tweeted the album cover, revealing that Blue Banisters will drop just one month after Rock Candy Sweet on July 4th, 2021.

In March, Del Rey claimed that Rock Candy Sweet will challenge accusations of her “cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse.”
“Just wanted to say thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse,” Del Rey wrote in an Instagram Story, citing a Harper’s Bazaar article. “I will continue to challenge those thoughts on my next record June 1 titled Rock Candy Sweet.”
Chemtrails Over The Country Club, on the other hand, marked Del Rey’s most stripped-back collection yet. You can revisit the record here.
