Lana Del Rey delays the release of spoken word album ‘Violet’

She's delaying its release for about a month

Lana Del Rey has delayed the release of her spoken word album Violet, which she announced last month.

The project was initially set for release on January 4th, priced at $1 because “thoughts are meant to be shared,” Del Rey explained. Now, Del Rey has taken to Twitter to reveal the delay. “Hoping everyone had a great New Years, gonna wait for about a month to put out ‘Violet’ since we lost about nine days with everything going on,” Del Rey wrote. “It’s an interesting project though, looking forward to having it out.”

Half of the proceeds from the record is set to go toward Indigenous organizations.
