Lana Del Rey details forthcoming album, preemptively defends cover

'Yes there are people of color on this records picture'

New year, new Lana Del Rey controversy.

Lana Del Rey has detailed her forthcoming album Chemtrails Over The Country Club, sharing its tracklist and cover.

While the tracklist features previously released single “Let Me Love You Like A Woman” and the title track, which drops on January 11th, the cover depicts Del Rey and a group of friends sitting around a gingham-dressed table.

In an Instagram comment, Del Rey decided to preemptively defend the photo from any criticism, saying, “My best friends are rappers my boyfriends have been rappers,” and later writing that “these are my best friends […] yes there are people of color on this records [sic] picture and that’s all I’ll say about that.
