Lana Del Rey has already written 9 songs for new album

New album will include Nina Simone cover

Though Ultraviolence was released just last year, the US singer/songwriter is already planning its follow-up.

She has already written nine original songs for the upcoming album Honeymoon, and plans to cover Nina Simone’s “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”.

“I like summarizing the record with a jazz song. I’m having fun with my interpretation,” she says, adding: “I’m looking for a few more songs to tie everything together.”

Recently, Del Rey was nominated for “Big Eyes,” a soundtrack song for the Tim Burton movie about cartoonist Margaret Keane.

We can’t wait to see what this album has in store. But, for now, listen to “Big Eyes” below.
