Lana Del Rey is receiving backlash for wearing a mesh face mask during an indoor book signing.
Del Rey recently appeared at a Barnes and Noble in Los Angeles, where she signed copies of her new poetry book, Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass. The “Summertime Sadness” artist posted photos and videos to her own Instagram, where she showed off her mesh face mask that boasted hundreds of tiny holes, offering up a pretty questionable form of protection during COVID-19.
Caroline “Chuck” Grant, Del Rey’s sister, defended the artists, claiming she had “tested negative” for the virus and stood “more than six feet away,” according to The Independent.
