Earlier this year, Lana Del Rey announced on Twitter that Radiohead was suing her over the song “Get Free” off the Lust for Life album. The song was seen to have some similarities in chord structure with the Radiohead’s track “Creep”, released in 1993.
It’s true about the lawsuit. Although I know my song wasn’t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing – I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100. Their lawyers have been relentless, so we will deal with it in court.

After two months of waiting, the drama surrounding the musicians has finally come to an end. This weekend at Lollapalooza Brazil, Del Rey performed the tune and announced the great news to fans after the song was finished. “Well, fuck! I mean, now that my lawsuit’s over, I guess I can sing that song anytime I want, right?”

It’s not entirely clear how the case was settled, but considering how quiet both parties have been about it since, we’d assume it was settled amicably.
