New Year’s Eve comes once a year, and with it the expectation to have the most wild, fun night of the year. Rather spend the year in huddled by the TV, there are a number of awesome events happening in the city for you to celebrate the New Year!
Fresh Start II
Hosted by Hannah Georgas, Fresh Start II is a night-long musical party with special performances by members of Tokyo Police Club, Hey Rosetta, Born Ruffians, Elwins and more!
NYE at Nathan Phillips Square
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the city of Toronto’s official 2018 kickoff party! Held at Nathan Philips Square, it’ll be a night of great live music and fun with performances by electro-pop artist Jessy Lanza, Bonjay and Anishnaabe dance artist Nimkii Osawamick. After the big countdown the night concludes with a massive fireworks display.
Kick off the year with a bang! Halifax-based rock group Wintersleep take over Lee’s Palace for a special one-night NYE bash!
Inaugural New Year’s Eve party at Ripley’s
Get this through your gills! Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is hosting their very first New Year’s Eve party. Chomp down hors d’oeuvres by Daniel et Daniel, dance to music by DJ Shamz, and enjoy cocktails at their many bars located throughout the building!
Dwayne Gretzky’s New Year’s Eve Infinity Ball
You’d be hard-pressed to find a show more fun than legendary Toronto cover band Dwayne Gretzky’s Annual New Year’s Bash. As part of Myseum Presents: Music From People City, this New Year’s Eve bash & dance party will feature three genre and decade-spanning covers sets, interactive art exhibitions, culinary treats, and more.
