Thirsty Ontario residents won’t need to run out and purchase a bunker’s worth of booze just yet, but the Liquor Control Board of Ontario has announced that it will be running reduced hours beginning on Thursday.
As of March 19, the LCBO will be open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., in response the coronavirus crisis.

The LCBO also announced that they will not be accepting bottle returns at this time, which is another measure introduced in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.
A reduction in hours will allow staff to increase efforts to clean their stores. Supermarkets will continue to sell beer and wine, as well.
