‘Lilo & Stitch’ is getting a live-action remake on Disney Plus

The movie will start filming this fall

A new live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch is set to start filming this fall, and will later premiere as an original film on Disney+.

The movie will be a live-action and CGI hybrid that will be filmed in Hawaii, according to Disinsider. Additionally, the original voice for Stitch, Chris Sanders, will reprise the role for the new adaptation.

Just like the original 2002 animated movie, Lilo & Stitch will revolve around a lonely child named Lilo who finds Stitch, a dangerous alien running from intergalactic forces, who disguises themselves as her dog.
