Listen: Alanis Morissette releases ‘Reasons I Drink,’ announces forthcoming album ‘Such Pretty Forks in the Road’

'Such Pretty Forks in the Road' is set for release on May 1st, 2020

In celebration of next year being the 25th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill, Canadian queen Alanis Morissette has announced that she’ll be releasing her first new album in eight years, Such Pretty Forks in the Road.

Morissette has released “Reasons I Drink,” the lead single from the forthcoming album, which is the follow up to 2012’s Havoc and Bright Lights. The track is quintessential Alanis, packed with bouncing keys and an anthemic instrumental as Morrissette’s throaty vocal lines take the lead, delivering lyrics like, “These are the reasons I drink/ The reasons I tell everybody I’m fine even though I am not.”

Listen to “Reasons I Drink” below.

Such Pretty Forks in the Road is set for release on May 1st, 2020.
