Listen: Andy Shauf Signs to Arts & Crafts, shares “Jenny Come Home”

New music from the quirky Regina folk artist

Andy Shauf is a self-made man. Growing up in Saskatchewan, Shauf learned to do things on his own, becoming a multi-instrumentalist who produces and records all his own music. His latest release The Bearer of Bad News is no different, being recorded in the basement of his Regina home.

Shauf has shared his latest single from that album “Jenny Come Home”, an upbeat folk track reminiscent of Elliot Smith and Sufjan Stevens. With a polish of quirky guitars, bobbing clarinets and Belle and Sebastian sound-alike rhythm section, it induces nostalgia as easy as a Wes Anderson film.

This comes shortly after the announcment that Andy Shauf signed to the Arts & Crafts record label. Take a listen to “Jenny Come Home” in the player above.
