Listen: Beck and Feist cover Colourbox’s ‘Tarantula’ for Netflix’s ‘Roma’

'Music Inspired by the Film Roma' is set for release on February 8

Netflix’s Oscar nominated flick, Roma, features a soundtrack of several Spanish language radio hits from the early 70’s, and on February 8th, Sony Music Masterworks is set to release a companion album with reimaginings of the tracks from contemporary artists.

Music Inspired by the Film Roma will feature contributions from Billie Eilish (“When I Was Older“), Patti Smith, Laura Marling, EI-P, DJ Shadow, and more. Beck will be featured on the album as well, offering up a cover of Colourbox’s 1982 track, “Tarantula,” which was released today. The reimagining changes the minimal electronic original to a delicate string orchestral rendition featuring his father David Richard Campbell, and backing vocals from several singers like Feist and Alex Lilly.
