Listen: Big Red Machine share video for new Taylor Swift collaboration ‘Renegade’

Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner have shared “Renegade,” yet another new track from their forthcoming Big Red Machine album. The new How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? track is a collaboration with none other than Taylor Swift.

The new track sees Swift taking the lead vocally, as Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon offers up harmonies. “Renegade” feels like more of a Swift song than a Big Red Machine track, but it’s still a rollicking indie-folk anthem.

The accompanying lyric video sees lines like, “It wouldn’t be the first renegade/ To need somebody” flashing on screen. In the background, shots of Swift, Dessner, and Vernon flash on screen beneath gritty effects.

The new tune follows the release of “The Ghost Of Cincinnati” and “Latter Days,” which is a collaboration with “Anaïs Mitchell.” It also marks one of two Swift collaborations on the album.

How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? is out on August 27th via 37d03d, and you can pre-order the album here.
