Listen: Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth release new track ‘Drug,’ reveal new band Simple Creatures

Their debut EP is set to arrive in March

Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus has united with All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth to form a new band called Simple Creatures. The pop-punk duo have released their first track “Drug” in honour of the announcement.

The track is delightfully angsty, with punky vocals on top of an upbeat pop rock guitar line. “‘Drug’ is always the first song we play people when introducing them to Simple Creatures,” Hoppus explained to Kerrang. “‘Drug’ is a song about someone or something you want the most, being terrible for you…Feels great until it doesn’t, but then you can’t stop.”
